The Women Helping Women Fund (WHWF), which empowers local women and children to achieve their full potential, is excited to announced that world-renowned impact leader Shiza Shahid will keynote the organization’s annual spring fundraiser event on May 16, 2023.
Shiza Shahid is an entrepreneur, investor, technologist, activist and impact leader. She co-founded the Malala Fund with Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, and led the organization as founding CEO, focusing on creating access to high-quality education for all children around the world.
In 2019, Shiza and two cofounders launched direct-to-consumer kitchenware company, Our Place. The company, created in partnership with immigrant communities, aims to address the lack of cookware options for multiethnic American kitchens. Shiza is passionate about the future of technology and the powerful impact it can have on people’s lives and actively invests in startups that have the potential to advance humanity.
“We are thrilled that Shiza Shahid will be a part of our annual fundraiser event. Throughout her life, Shiza has been an advocate for women and children, empowering them through advocacy, storytelling and entrepreneurship. Her drive and passion align perfectly with our mission here at Women Helping Women Fund – to empower for women and children in our community,” said Heather Hamlin, Executive Director, WHWF.
