WHWF Receives CARES funding!

Updated: Oct 17, 2020

Because raising a child shouldn’t keep young mothers from achieving their academic goals.

COVID-19 has disproportionately impacted families living in poverty. We already saw how poverty cripples a family’s ability to secure nurturing childcare in Spokane. The pandemic has made this even more difficult for the low-income, mostly single-mother-headed households who we serve through the Vivian Winston Scholarship. We are so grateful to receive CARES Act funding through the City of Spokane to provide childcare assistance.

If you are mother juggling childcare expenses with higher ed tuition you may be eligible for assistance. Please reach out to our office for more information before October 19, 2020 at info@whwfspokane.org.
