Your kind heart made the October InstaGrant possible! Together, we awarded Spokane Hearing Oral Program of Excellence - HOPE $500 to purchase outdoor playground equipment. This wonderful nonprofit believes all children who are deaf or hard of hearing have the right to reach their full potential, pursue their dreams, and thrive in life. They achieve this vision by teaching and supporting children from birth to age 5.
"Hearing the words ‘your child is deaf’ can be like a gut punch, knocking you to your knees", said Kim Schafer, Outreach & Development Director with Spokane HOPE.
Founded in 2004 on the premise that all children with hearing loss should have the opportunity to maximize their listening and speaking skills, Spokane HOPE School attracted a dedicated group of individuals with considerable tenure in their professional fields to make this educational dream a reality.
"We are SOOOO thankful for Women Helping Women Fund and ALL the generous hearts who make your support of local nonprofits possible. The sunshine continues so play equipment for outside 'getting the wiggles out' time will be awesome."
