At Women Helping Women Fund, we believe that collective decision-making is the cornerstone of impactful philanthropy. That's why our annual Funding Focus Vote is such a vital part of our grant cycle. It's a chance for our Giving Circle members to voice their opinions on the issues they care about most, helping to shape the direction of our funding for the upcoming year.
This year, our members have spoken, and the results are in! Here’s a look at the funding focus areas in order of priority:
1. Mental Health Services
2. Family & Domestic Violence Resources
3A. Early Childhood Education & Childcare
3B. Food & Nutrition Security
4. Family Support Programs
5A. Financial Education
5B. Housing Assistance and Resources for the Unhoused
6. Senior Services
7. Education K-12
As you can see, the top priorities reflect a strong commitment to mental health, family support, and basic needs like food security and housing assistance. These are areas where our collective efforts can make a meaningful difference in our community.
What’s Next?
With our funding priorities set, we’re excited to move forward into the next phase of the grant cycle. The first step is our Grant Information Session on August 15. This session is designed to help potential applicants understand the application process, eligibility criteria, and the timeline for submissions. We encourage any nonprofit organization that aligns with our focus areas to attend.
Shortly after the information session, the Letter of Intent (LOI) application will open. This is the first formal step for nonprofits to express their interest in applying for funding. We’re eager to see the innovative and impactful projects that will come forward this year.
Looking Ahead
But that’s not all! Later this year, Giving Circle members have the opportunity to vote once again to help decide which nonprofits will receive grant funding for the 2025-26 year. Become a member to take part by making a gift of $25 or $50 a month.
