InstaGrant Information
These grants are made possible thanks to our Giving Circle Members - a group of dedicated, strategic givers that are inspired to make lasting change. InstaGrants differ from our traditional Responsive Grants in two key areas:
-
They are intended to meet an immediate need or opportunity
-
The amount awarded is between $500-$1,000
We’ve purchased bike helmets for youth at Hutton Settlement, lifejackets for area pools to help the Spokane Parks Foundation, and home goods to support refugees relocating to the area through World Relief Spokane to name a few.

How does my agency apply?
-
Click the Apply Now button above! No budgets, attachments, logic models, or theories of change - just a few sentences on how funding up to $1,000 will help support your work.
-
-
My agency has already applied for an InstaGrant, but we haven't received funding. Should we reapply?
-
Nope! We have your information in our system and there is no need to submit a new application. If you would like to reapply for a different project, you’re welcome to submit a new application. If you choose to do so, we will remove your previous application.
-
-
When will WHWF announce grant awards?
-
WHWF will announce grant awards each month via our monthly newsletter (sign up here!) and new nonprofit-specific newsletter (sign up here!). There is no need to check on the status of your application.
-
-
If my agency is awarded an InstaGrant, what are the reporting requirements?
-
None. We trust nonprofits to invest in and advance their missions. WHWF is here to support your work. We’d love to feature grant winners on our site or on social media, and welcome the opportunity to showcase your mission.

-
How will WHWF determine InstaGrant recipients?
-
A panel will review applications and present a slate for our Giving Circle Members to vote on. The slate will include an anonymized synopsis of how the funds will be used and the funding focus area the agency falls into.

-
My agency is a current Responsive Grant recipient. Can my agency apply for an InstaGrant?
-
Your agency is welcome to apply, but preference will be given to organizations that are not currently Responsive Grant recipients.
-
-
My agency will be applying for the Responsive Grant this fall. Can we still apply for an InstaGrant?
-
Absolutely! Receiving an InstaGrant does not exlude you from receiving an InstaGrant and will not count against your agency during the Responsive Grant process.
