Events & Marketing Manager
Women Helping Women Fund, a non-profit funding organization that grants awards to programs in the Spokane community assisting women and children in need, is seeking a full-time Events & Marketing Manager.

Location: Office setting, downtown Spokane, WA

Job Purpose Summary
The Events & Marketing Manager works closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors and community volunteers. Primary responsibilities include managing all fundraising and stewardship events, implementing marketing and communications efforts and overseeing administrative and office tasks.

 Position Responsibilities


  • Monitor budgets
  • Attend relevant committee meetings. Committee meetings may be outside of standard working hours
  • Supervise seasonal intern, office and event volunteers
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned
  • Respond to questions and requests for information from board members and the public.

Event Management

  • Lead planner for fundraising and stewardship events, including the annual luncheon with 1800+ attendees, in coordination with Executive Director and Board Members
  • Vendor management including Speaker’s Bureau, venue and in-kind donors
  • Registration oversight and management
  • Day-of logistics
  • Work with committees to analyze and improve various outward-facing events


  • Manage all event and organizational marketing, in collaboration with the Communications Committee and Executive Director. Event communications include the luncheon video, program, script and print materials
  • Act as the liaison with creative talent to provide feedback and manage deadlines
  • Responsible for all email and direct mail communications to donors and the public
  • Write and/or oversee content for newsletters, WHWF website and social media sites


  • Manage daily administrative and office management functions
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors, maintaining confidentiality as necessary
  • Creates, reviews and processes letters, presentations and reports
  • Manages correspondence with donors, grantees and the public
  • Assists in managing the donor database by entering donor records, acknowledging gifts, grant management and producing appropriate reports
  • Manages accounts receivable and accounts payable

  Position Qualifications


  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years’ experience in event management, preferably fundraising events
    • Evidence of successful event management, volunteer management and donor/guest relations
  • Experience with donor management system (Bloomerang and Greater Giving used)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, social media applications
    • Ability to organize and analyze data in Excel
  • Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency
  • Excellent customer service, organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to adapt to changes within the position
  • Ability to project a professional demeanor at all times
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment


  • Familiarity with website management, specifically WordPress
  • Familiarity with financial bookkeeping software specifically Quickbooks
