Explorers Program

Agency: The Arc of Spokane

A person-centered approach to life after high school for youth with intellectual & developmental disabilities.

Circle of Security Wraparound Program

Agency: Catholic Charities of Spokane

Through early intervention, support groups, individual & family therapy, and one-on-one mentorships, at-risk mothers are empowered to stop the cycle of trauma.

St. Margaret's Shelter

Agency: Catholic Charities of Spokane

This pilot program will provide ongoing support & resources for formerly homeless mothers and their children to reduce their chances of falling back into homelessness.

Women's Education Assistance Program

Agency: Community Colleges of Spokane Foundation

The WEAP financially supports female students enrolled in innovative non-credit and career-technical programs that prepare them for skilled and living -wage occupations.

Take a Stand

Agency: Create Your Statement

Take a Stand is a community- and school-based program that prevents youth dating violence and abuse.

After School Program

Agency: Girls on the Run

We are a non-competitive running program and self-esteem workshop that focuses on positive emotional, social, mental and physical development.

Community Engagement Program

Agency: Hearth Homes

Requesting Funding to help establish a community engagement program that will involve hiring a volunteer coordinator to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to help provide for clients basic needs.

Prime Time Family Reading Program

Agency: Humanities Washington

Prime Time Family is an outcomes-based family literacy curriculum that engages low-income, academically at-risk children and their family members in exploration of the humanities.

Headstart for Women & Youth in the Construction Trades

Agency: Inland NW Associated General Contractors Apprenticeship Program

A program designed to introduce & provide training for women and youth for the construction trades; followed by employment assistance in securing a position in the trade of choice.

Building Bright Futures with Healthy Lifestyles

Agency: Northeast Youth Center

Offering STEM curriculum & scholarships for low income participants that cannot afford the costs in addition to a Healthy Foods Program.

Healing, Justice & Trust - Improving Outcomes and Outcomes Measurement

Agency: Partners with Families & Children

Through implementation of the Outcomes Measurement System, Partners will evaluate our programs to increase the quality of services provided, improve our community collaborative efforts, and serve as a comprehensive gap analysis for all family service agencies in Spokane, thus ensuring that no child or family "falls through the cracks."

Capacity Building and Sustainability Development

Agency: Project Beauty Share

Project Beauty Share plans to hire a part-time program coordinator to increase their capacity to serve more women in the Inland Northwest.

Curriculum Development

Agency: Project Hope Spokane

By providing job training that incorporates school learning objectives, youth participants can connect how their education leads to a brighter future.

Increasing Access to Nutrition Education

Agency: Second Harvest

Second Harvest will schedule regular Mobile Food Bank distributions and nutrition education sessions at 24 low-income schools, featuring fresh produce and other groceries.

Listening and Spoken Language Early Learning Program

Agency: Spokane HOPE

The Teacher of the Deaf in the preschool classroom will ensure children with hearing loss can enter kindergarten ready to learn in a mainstream classroom alongside their hearing peers.

Miryam's House

Agency: Transitions

The intended outcome of Miryam's House program is to reduce homelessness in our community by providing transitional residential housing and support services to address the basic and specific needs of low-income women.

Emergency Respite Care Program

Agency: Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery

This program expansion will allow VBCN to increase staffing levels during our busiest months to care for additional children.

West Central Active and Healthy Youth Initiative

Agency: West Central Community Center

The West Central Active and Healthy Youth Initiative promotes and supports youth by providing numerous opportunities for kids to learn, grow, and lead healthy and active lifestyles through classes, clinics, sports and programs.

Nutrition to Go

Agency: Women and Children’s Free Restaurant

To support the cost of growing our outreach meals program, through which WCFR partners with Spokane's safety net to serve nutritious, scratch-meals to women and children experiencing poverty and homelessness.

Spokane YoungLives

Agency: YoungLife

Mentoring and supporting teenage parents to change lives for generations to come.

Confidential Safe Shelter

Agency: YWCA of Spokane

The YWCA operates Spokane County's only state-recognized 24-hour Confidential Safe Shelter for domestic violence victims and their children.
